Back to the article at hand! I’ve been using some of the below websites for a while now while the others were a pleasant surprise. Without further delay let’s dive right in!
Wayback Machine
Have you ever wondered how websites looked back in the initial days of the internet? If your answer is yes, you’re not alone. Wayback Machine is sort of a time capsule of the internet. You can check how any website looked back when it started.
So naturally, I was curious to see how Substack looked back in the day. I found the first snapshot of the site way back on 27 April 2009. According to that, Substack was a personal portfolio website of a guy called Milan. Maybe it was his passion project. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any other snapshots, apart from those HTTP error codes, of how the website was shaped up until 22 September 2017.
What you see below seems to be the first-ever version of the current-day Substack which you know and love. Maybe the initial site died down or the domain was bought by Substack, no one knows.
A Good Movie To Watch
Were you ever bored and not sure what to watch? I was, and this website helped me fetch the best shows and movies to spend my time well. It categorises the movies based on the services offering them, the IMDB rating etc. Maybe you have a flight in a few days and plan on downloading movies or shows for your trip, this is the best site to pick the right ones.
ClickDrop - Relight
If you are a photo editor or a content creator who is just starting out, this website is for you. It lets you choose multiple light sources at different angles and colours without any expensive lighting equipment or premium editing software. You can make your shots look cool and explore your creativity for free. This tool is pretty simple and user-friendly to use.
Unscreen
Unscreen is a video editing tool for content creators, especially for short-form content creators who create videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels or TikTok. This is a free and quick way to remove the background of a video and choose one of your choices to make your videos look more presentable or tell a story. Freelance Marketing lads can also use this to create advertisements for their products quickly with no licencing cost.
Project Gutenberg
If you are an avid reader, look no further and bookmark this site. You can find 60000+ ebooks for absolutely FREE. No fancy apps, registration or fee is needed. These ebooks also come with unlimited free redistribution, so you can use them on your website or apps.
