Hello folks! How was your week? There’s been a lot going on and thus the pauses in the articles. Let’s not waste any more time and dive right in! I’ve stumbled upon some cool stuff in the past few weeks which I thought would share with you.
With AI being the trend right now, there are probably thousands of them now each specializing in solving a problem we humans face. Now, you don’t have to worry about voiceovers anymore. There’s an AI which can listen to your voice and clone it within seconds and it will sound exactly like you once it’s done!

There are some sample voices on their website of famous personalities which sound eerily similar to the actual person. Even the “Umms” or “Aahhs” or the pauses are almost exact to the original person. This opens a whole new world of possibilities. If you are a podcast creator, you can basically ask ChatGPT for a script and input that to Play.nt and you are done! Instant podcast episodes with no effort from you. However, this AI is so good that in the wrong hands could open up a can of worms!
Voice recordings which are furnished as evidence can now be tampered with. Granted the AI needs 2-3 hours of speech to clone. That can easily be obtained by calling them pretending to be someone else every now and then or by using call or meeting recordings.
What’s more, this can be used to scam unsuspecting family or friends. There’s one way you can stay safe from this. If you get any such call. Call your friend or family member first through another phone and confirm if it’s them.
I don’t want to end the article on a scary note. So, here’s something to cheer you up. An AI can now detect cancer with almost 95% accuracy! This is huge for two major reasons - One, a human doctor can only see what the naked eye is capable of seeing, and an AI can see much more than that; Second, an AI can train itself to identify cancer from millions of positive samples which is impossible for any human to do. Identifying cancer at an early stage is so crucial because, more often than not, it can be cured by simple medication with no future complications.

Fun Tech Fact!
The world's first computer programmer was a woman named Ada Lovelace. Lovelace was an English mathematician who worked with Charles Babbage on his proposed mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine, in the mid-1800s. Lovelace is credited with writing the first-ever computer program, a complex algorithm designed to calculate Bernoulli numbers, which was intended to be run on the Analytical Engine. Lovelace's contributions to computer science have earned her the title "the first computer programmer."
